Medical Ethics and Human Rights Pillar

Our Vision

The pillar aims to target a faculty where the general understanding of human rights and the highest ethical values in medicine is applied. It highlights the importance of defending human rights and applying medical ethics to the medical profession. The pillar primarily focuses on how Human Rights intersect with Medical Ethics, aiming to provide the best care possible to patients as future physicians.

Our Mission

Compassion from medical practitioners can influence the care patients receive. Therefore, we, as medical students, carry the goal of increasing awareness about ethical and human rights issues that they may encounter in their careers. Our mission is to ensure the best care for our patients and a safe learning and working environment for our colleagues.

Our Goals

Ensure the integration of ethical principles into the medical education curriculum.
Ensure that current issues related to medical ethics and human rights are discussed and supported by medical students and healthcare workers at both local and national levels, as well as at the European level, and support solutions proposed through discussions at the same level.
Recognize and promote the value of human rights, ethical principles, and professional ethics in medicine.
Support the implementation and understanding of human rights in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, and Europe.
Increase awareness of medical ethics and human rights in Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, and throughout Europe.
